A songwriter’s circle is a concert format that has become very popular in the USA and is increasingly catching on in the UK too. Three solo performers take the stage at the same time. They then take it in turns to introduce and perform their songs. Interaction between the performers can often be interesting, and comments from the audience are also welcomed which makes the concert more interactive.

It provides a showcase for more than one artist, which is entertaining for the audience as it offers greater variety and the opportunity to compare and contrast styles.

The artists too will often adapt their choice of songs to respond to the choices of the others, so more spontaneity is achieved. The artists will often collaborate on one or two songs too.

The concert will be in 2 halves of 1 hour each, with an interval.
