CELEBRATING THE SPIRIT OF INDEPENDENCE & CULTURE OF LIVE MUSIC

Independent Venue Week is a 7 day celebration of small music venues around the UK and a nod to the people that own, run and work in them, week in, week out. The Black Dyke Mills Heritage Venue is proud to part of this great event that brings together venues up and down the country in a celebration of all that is good about the live music scene.

We have two great gigs lined up. Friday 02 February sees the return of Ego States with support from Low Lanes. Ego States will be travelling up the road from Brighouse with their incisive melodies, sharp lyrics and unerring rhythmic sensibility. In lead singer and guitarist George Jenkins, they have a songwriter of rare talent. Think Arctic Monkeys meet The Beatles via a bit of Bowie.

As if that was not enough, Saturday 03 February sees the return of Roger Davies and his band with support from Magdalen Bath. Roger is no stranger to the Mill and we are delighted to welcome him back. Expect songs from his new album along with old favourites.
