FOXES FAUX IN CONCERT – Saturday 24 March 2018

We are delighted to welcome the wonderful Foxes Faux to the mill on Saturday 24 March 2018.

Foxes Faux are an English folk rock band with a punk heart who’s powerful, melodic music takes a quirky jaunt through country, punk and gypsy tinged rock, erupting from an arsenal of instruments which include a bouzouki, mandolin, melodica, guitar, glockenspiel, violin and banjo. Their vibrant live show is something to witness in its naked, tawdry flesh.

Following on from earlier EP’s, the band released their thirteen track debut album ‘Fox Tales’ in 2015 followed with a tour of the UK and Europe which included appearances at Leeds First Direct Arena, Beat Herder Festival, Bingley Music Live, Strummercamp Festival, venues across Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Ireland with support sets for Franz Nicolay, New Model Army and Billy Bragg. Five singles and videos have been released alongside the album; ‘Liars’, ‘Cops and Robbers, ‘Isabella’, ‘Rioters Queue Here’ and ‘Do I Waste My Time?’. The much-anticipated second studio album is due for release in autumn 2016.

Foxes Faux are guaranteed to have you barn dancing, rocking, two stepping, skanking, congoing and crowd surfing like a foxy thing!

A rather wonderful band”

Alan Raw, BBC Radio Leeds

Foxes Faux are a fine band, already on top of their game and more than worthy of being compared favourably with the likes of Mumford and Sons.”
